Veronica Bisesti’s work starts from an accurate study of the past, to open a process of exploration of the present. Historical narratives and their symbologies, in relation to certain figures of the past, become fields of analysis for the creation of new scenarios. The remote becomes malleable matter, in order to undermine the hegemonies of knowledge that have been handed down as absolute certainties until now. Her poetics branch out through various expressive languages, from drawing to sculpture, from photography to painting, developing visual short circuits that generate unusual and unexpected visions.
