For the exhibition, Michel François was invited for one summer to be a tenant of the Halle Verrière of Meisenthal. Adept at the economy of means, the diversion of objects and the staging of installations, Michel François has built a polymorphous and adventurous installation, with the works in Panoptique echoing the immensity of the Halle Verrière through the expression of fragility and breath.
"I like edges, borders, thresholds. I like being able to crystallize the moment when everything can flip over and suggest the possibility of a transgression, of a passage. Many of the works that I imagine express this and seek to fix the relative inconsistency of a moment or a limit that is sometimes imperceptible."
An exhibition co-produced by Cadhame - Halle Verrière and the Center International d'Art Verrier
